Requirements:-
National Senior Certificate plus B Degree (NQF level 7) in Public Administration or Social Science specializing in Community Development/ Development Studies / Equivalent qualification. 2 – 3 years’ experience in youth development environment. Plus, a minimum of 5 years’ experience in middle management. A driver’s license is a prerequisite. Competencies: Demonstrate knowledge and capacity in strategic planning and coordination. Actively foster and demonstrate management and leadership qualities for effective youth development programme, mentoring and delegation. Demonstrate innovation and creativity in youth development programme. Demonstrate knowledge of theory and practice of community development and youth development as an intervention strategy. Demonstrate ability to formulate policies and translate them into practice. Demonstrate understanding of a developmental approach in supporting, developing and transferring skills to programme implementation staff. Knowledge and awareness of social research needs for programme planning and development. The public service core and process competencies.
