Associate Professor Vacancies Requirements:-
- Proven research record specializing in the field of African Sociolinguistics and/or isiXhosa Literary Studies
- At least 5 years’ experience in teaching isiXhosa at a university level
- Sound disciplinary and content knowledge in isiXhosa related modules
- PhD/DLitt degree in isiXhosa with a focus on African Sociolinguistics and/or isiXhosa literary studies .
- Senior Lecturer -A minimum of 6 research output units, including articles, Masters and Doctoral outputs. A minimum of 3 refereed publications in accredited journals (published or formally accepted for publication)
- Associate Professor -A minimum of 10 research output units, including articles, Ms and Ds. A minimum of 5 refereed publications in accredited journals (published).
- Ability to mentor early career scholars in the discipline .
